Sixth Form College Gets The Green Light For The International Baccalaureate
Wed 17 Oct, 2007
We are delighted to announce that the new co-educational Royal High Sixth Form College received authorisation today to introduce the International Baccalaureate Diploma in September 2008.
We are now one of a growing number of leading schools and colleges in the U.K. that have been officially approved by the I.B. to run the Diploma Programme. We are proud to be an ‘IB World School’. Uniquely in Bath, our students will have the choice, from September 2008, of studying for the Diploma or A levels.
The introduction of the Diploma offers tangible benefits to all the students in the college, whether they choose the I.B. or A levels. Everyone will have access to a greatly enhanced programme of extra-curricular activities, and the option to follow a new course in Critical Thinking as part of their studies. In addition, all students will benefit from the hugely successful lap top scheme which provides wireless access to teaching and learning resources from anywhere on the campus. You can find out more about both the IB and our A level courses on The Sixth Form College part of our website.
