Welcome to the Royal High School, Bath

Junior School Uniform

New Uniform

New uniform is available from Scholar’s of Bath. Scholars is a well-established, local, family-run business with outlets in Bath, Trowbridge, Devizes, Chippenham and Warminster.

The Bath shop is the main stockist of RHS new uniform. Uniform can also be purchased from Scholars’ Trowbridge, Devizes, Chippenham and Warminster shops by arrangement.
Scholars of Bath is located centrally (4 Terrace Walk, near the Parade Gardens) and is open six days a week.

Appointments will be available in the summer holidays. Purchases may be made in person from the shops, by telephone (01225 462206), by email or by fax. Internet sales will be available soon. For new RHS families Scholars will attend the New Pupils’ Afternoon to display uniform.

Second-hand Uniform

The Junior School Second-hand Uniform Shop is situated in Hope House at the Junior School and is open weekly in term time on Tuesdays, 3.15 – 4.00 pm and Thursdays, 8.30 – 9.00 am for existing girls and parents, and at other times by arrangement. Changes in opening hours will be published in the weekly newsletter.

The shop is well-stocked and offers good condition uniform at very reasonable prices. Pupils new to the Royal High School should contact Vicki Emery on 01225 873767 or 07790 323403 to make an appointment outside normal opening hours as fittings take about ½ hour. Full payment must be given when purchasing goods and cash or cheques are acceptable. Cheques should be made payable to “RHS Second-hand.” Unfortunately credit cards are not accepted.

If you are unable to visit the shop during opening times Vicki is happy to serve pupils; please make sure that they have the payment with them.

Refunds/exchanges on items bought cannot be given unless previously arranged with Vicki. As well as normal shop opening hours small sales of stationery, cards, books, etc will be held throughout the year in a classroom opposite the shop. You will be informed of these in the weekly newsletter.

All uniform, including all footwear, should be clearly marked with name tapes. These are available from either School Shop. As far as possible, name tapes should be placed near manufacturer’s label – this will aid quick recovery of any lost items. Labels for marking shoes are also available in the second-hand shop.

Jewellery must not be worn in school and pierced ears are not recommended. Any ear piercings should be done at the beginning of the summer holidays as earrings must be removed or taped over during PE lessons.

Girls who already have pierced ears must wear the smallest gold stud possible.
School Uniform must be worn by all girls when coming to and from school.
In the winter the regulation school coat should be worn, NOT the sports fleece.
Rulings about uniform on school outings are made to fit the occasion.
