Year 5 Visit to Sewage Farm

Year 5 enjoyed a very interesting and fun time at the Sewage Treatment Works in Trowbridge today. They toured the plant and found out how dirty water from our homes is treated and cleaned so it can be sent back to the River Avon. They also carried out a scientific experiment to discover what things we should not be throwing down the loos and drains and performed a play about Dr.John Snow and how he located the cause of Cholera in Victorian London. The girls especially enjoyed helping Cathy, the Education Adviser to make Sewage soup-very appetising!
