VIP visitors reveal the mysteries of the East to schoolchildren
From The Bath Chronicle 03 July 2008 A group of Tibetan teachers paid a visit to the Royal High Junior School to promote greater cultural understanding. During their time with the girls the visitors were particularly interested in the use of IT, as they had very little access to computers at home. School spokesman Deryck Goodman said: "We were very pleased to be invited to take part in hosting this visit. These international links are very important in developing a sense of global citizenship among our students." The teachers were from the Tibetan Children’s Villages, an organisation dedicated to the education of deprived and orphaned Tibetan children, and to the preservation of the nation’s culture.
