Duathlon at Kingswood School

On Saturday 21st June, five girls from Y5 & 6 took part in the Kingswood Duathlon. With a 150m swim followed by a 1200m run, the girls set out in poor weather conditions to complete this tough event. Once the swim was complete, the transition of moving into the run was an all important factor. Changing from wet into dry clothes proved very testing for some, but they managed to do this quickly and within minutes. They then set off around the surrounding grounds to complete the Duathlon. The times were then combined to form an overall position for the girls.
All 5 girls performed excellently, showing great determination and skill over two events. In wet and windy conditions, the course proved to become quite testing. However, they all completed the course satisfactorily and were awarded their medals as a result of these efforts. Final results for the RHJS were as follows:
